Helpful Oil Terminology
SAE: stands for Society of Automotive Engineers
W: Stands for the weight of the oil, the lower the number in front of the W, the more viscous it is at low temperatures. The number after the W is the thickness of the oil at its regular operation temperature.
CK-4: As of December 1, 2016, CK-4 has been brought in to replace the former CJ-4, CK-4 is backwards compatible with CJ-4
API: American Petroleum Institute
ULSD: Ultra-Low-Sulphur-Diesel
NLGI: This number, usually from 0-3 stands for the thickness of grease.
